Vaccine Policy
We follow the immunization guidelines developed by the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics. We strongly recommend immunizations as a key way of protecting children from serious illness and believe that vaccines are a part of routine pediatric care.
We also recognize that every patient is unique. And we understand that there exists a large amount of conflicting information regarding vaccines and their safety/necessity that can create concern for some.
We are open to thoughtful, individualized discussion about vaccines and spacing, but delaying is not encouraged. The first recommended round of vaccinations begins at 2 months old and our practice adheres to this recommendation. Our goal is to ensure that the patient remains protected as much as possible with the currently recommended vaccines.
