OUR DOCTORS

 Dr. Gonzales was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA where he graduated from Catholic High School. He went on to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, LA, and completed his pediatric residency at LSU Children's Hospital in New Orleans, LA. He is Board Certified in General Pediatrics and has been practicing for 28 years in Lafayette, LA. Dr. Gonzales is married to Diane and has two children Drew, 25 and Anna, 23. In his down time,  he enjoys fishing, woodwork, and hiking. Dr. Gonzales' decision to become a pediatrician was influenced by a life saving surgery performed on him as a newborn. He has always wanted to return that gift and feels its a rewarding decision he makes everyday when treating his patients the way he would want his children to be treated.

  Dr. Melancon was raised in Baton Rouge, LA where she graduated high school from St Joseph's Academy. She went on to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, LA, and completed her pediatric residency at LSU Children's Hospital in New Orleans, LA. She is Board Certified in General Pediatrics and has been practicing for 28 years in Lafayette, LA. Dr. Melancon is married to Jeff and has two children Grace, 18 and Kate, 12. In her down time,  she enjoys raising horses and chickens, gardening, and the outdoors. Becoming a doctor was always one of Dr. Melancon's aspirations. Only after tutoring children while in high school did she discover that she loved their presence and relating to them. She has seen over the years watching babies grow and develop into young adults and watch the cycle repeat. She feels that God has called her to help care for His little angels.

  Dr. Hebert was born in Lafayette, LA and raised in Sunset, LA where she graduated from Beau Chene High School. She went on to Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA, Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, LA, and completed her pediatric residency at LSU Children's Hospital in New Orleans, LA. She is Board Certified in General Pediatrics and has been practicing for 15 years in Lafayette, LA. Dr. Hebert is married to Greg and has two children Avery, 16 and Micah, 13. In her down time,  she enjoys exercising, painting, and rescuing animals. One of Dr. Hebert's first memory of wanting to be a pediatrician was after delivering her first baby in medical school. She handed the newborn off to the nurses and wanted to follow the infant.

  Dr. Faugot was born and raised in New Iberia, LA where she graduated from New Iberia Senior High School.  She went on to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, Louisiana State University Medical School in Shreveport, LA, and completed her University of Alabama at Birmingham pediatric residency at Children's of Alabama.  She is Board Certified in General Pediatrics and has been practicing for 8 years in Lafayette, LA. Dr. Faugot is married to Frank Kowle III and has three children Catherine, 5, Claire, 4, Maryellen, 2, and Jane Francis 7 months. In her down time,  she enjoys flower gardening and the outdoors. Dr. Faugot discerned her vocation to become a physician after a medical mission trip to Mexico with her father who is also a pediatrician. She was drawn to pediatrics because she connects with the fun loving spirit in each child and she especially enjoys getting to know the entire family.  Follow her on Instagram "PediamomMD"

  Dr. Leoni was born and raised in Raceland, LA where she graduated from Central Lafourche High School. She went on to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, LA, and completed her pediatric residency at LSU Children's Hospital in New Orleans, LA. She is Board Certified in General Pediatrics and has been practicing for 23 years in Lafayette, LA. Dr. Leoni is married to Ricardo II and has three children Jack, 23, Ethan, 21, and Greta, 18. In her down time,  she enjoys gardening and reading. When asked what Dr. Leoni enjoys about pediatrics, she smiles and says, "Kids make the best patients! They are funny, hopeful, and resilient!"  

  Dr. Clark was born and raised in Lafayette, LA where he graduated from St. Thomas More High School. He went on to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, American University of the Caribbean, and completed his training in pediatrics at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA. He has been practicing for 7 years in Lafayette, LA. Dr. Clark is married to Camille and has three children Jeanne Kathryn, 11, Margaret, 8, and Mary Stuart, 4. His philosophy is to provide the highest quality of healthcare. He enjoys building lifelong relationships to his patients!
